Someone once said to me Health & Safety comes in "cans" I can, you can, we can but i can,t seem to gain my first position in this sector. I recently passed the Nebosh general cert and the Nebosh fire safety and risk management cert both with credits. I have 27yrs work based knowledge split between catering and construction. I live in the Wigan area and have a full driving licence. I would like feed back on what course of action to take next should i continue to study or keep on looking in the jobs market? all responses treated with the greatest respect.

as anyone on these forums will tell you its a hard market...tailor your CV to match the jobs on offer..look for work where you have the most experience ..you have experience in two areas..the qualifications will be of interest if thats what an employer is looking for. ..highlight other skills..you need to register with employment agencies ...network...check out CV templates.. re do your CV ..and so on .. good luck
