I have set myself a private task, not related to any organisation as a past or present member, of writing a document that explores what makes for effectiveness in professional organisations.
I have posted on a few forums and have approached a number of organisations (OHS, Training, H.R.) in Australia and overseas about having people respond to the following questions
1 What makes the organisation effective / ineffective?
2 What do you like about the organisation?
3 What do you dislike about the organisation?
4 How does the organisation ensure good communications?
5 How does the organisation ensure it meets member needs?
6 Comment on leadership
7 What is the organisation not doing now that you want it to do?
8 General comments
Up to you if you want to comment using these questions or a in way that makes more sense to you, either on the forum or direct to fgrobotham@gmail.com
I aim to put together a report that summarises findings, makes recommendations and repects privacy by the end of October.
I will leave this with you to consider.
