Hello all,
Has anyone got a really good health & safety awareness training package for Healthcare staff i could use? Or just a basic Health & Safety Training package i could modify to suit. Any ideas as to how to make health & safety training more interactive and fun, especially as it is quite a dry subject?
Posted previously, but with no response...must be someone out there with some advice surely?!? Any pointers would be apreciated!
Many thanks :)

Training for health care staff is a big subject anything particular that you are after. manual handling, fire, DSE, violence, contamination, coshh, risk assessment etc etc.

Make it just what it says on the tin - awareness training.
Try a quiz which deals with all the topics you want to cover and then make it interactive with the answers. Simple questions are ideal whilst also popping in some trickier ones. This should give you an idea of where the staff are and what areas you need to concentrate on. Once all staff get the answer right --its covered so find another question.

I don't think H&S is necessarily a dry subject at all, it has huge potential for humour, and can have some really gory stuff if you wish. To liven up a presentation try using pictures from sites like safetyphoto.com, they can be used free of charge for an acknowledgement in the right kind of context; the rules are on the site,
