Hi there,

I have recently been asked to carry out a risk assessment for a school parents association in regard to holding a small firework display.

There is to be no bonfire and no sparklers.

I have identified numerous hazards and have luckily been able to put in place some good controls, however I want to check that there isn't specific legislation or regulations that I could have missed into this sort of thing. I have asked various people but would appreciate any advice.

Ken

This is a good link that LB has given you - especially the two HSG documents at the bottom of the web page.

Ken,

You might look at the old DCSF site, eg http://www.teachernet.gov.uk/news/?id=1834, or the links it makes to the Department for Business Innovation and Skills at
http://bis.ecgroup.net/P...ductSafetyFireworks.aspx

This is more school centred, and includes teaching material too.
