Hi all I had a look through the DM yesterday....I thought thay'd be over joyed with the Lord Young report but it wasn't even mentioned....not that I saw anyway. Maybe it wasn't the "bonfire of H&S rules" they thought it would be.

Must have been a let down considering how it was anticipated: http://www.dailymail.co....tions.html#ixzz12hKUeJPz

The Times headlined the report of Lord Young’s findings with “you will no longer get sued for cleaning up the snow” (or very similar words, I can’t precisely remember). I thought, if you were not such a lazy person (that’s not actually the word but you catch my drift), and read the document; it actually said no one had ever been sued for cleaning up snow.

Dear All Sadly the DM ran a piece on Saturday. www.dailymail.co.uk/news...nce-chasing-lawyers.html It led with how all the red trap will be cut for teachers so that they can run school trips. It also said in the Young Report that all the 'stakeholders' thought there was no compensation culture. Then recommendations are produced about how this none existent problem can be addressed. As Richard Littlejohn might say, 'you couldn't make it up.' Oh yes you can!! Cheers. Nigel

I wish there was more red tape re school trips - the schools my children go to seem to have no difficulty running lots of them and it's costing me a fortune! ;-)
