Has anyone used one of the many professional CV writing services available at the moment? I have recently updated my CV but am wondering whether the outlay for a more professional approach may be worthwhile.

Please save your money as the best quality CV advice for content, structure, format, grammar and spelling checks can all be obtained on a pro-bono basis.
There have been many articles and much research which is in the public domain and in the past, it is my personal recruitment consultant I turn to for advice on structure, format, grammar and loved ones for the grammar and spelling proof reading.
In the past I have created supplementary documents specifically for some for positions. These have included case studies and outlined projects that I have worked on and identified business development that I have undertaken, however these supplements have only been included under the recommendation of my personal consultant.
The bottom line is that one CV will not fit all advertised positions or occasions.

I agree with Stedman, save your money. There are a lot of templates out there. Only advice I would give that was given to me was to try and keep it to two pages
