Hi Guys,
We recently installed some photo-luminescent fire exit directional and final exit signage at site for areas were we do not currently provide emergency lighting. My guidance was this is acceptable but i have come across a document stating that you should not do this. I'm concerned now as it was recommended by fire risk assessor and has certainly made an approvement.
In addition to this i'm currently revising our fire mgt procedure at site and noticed we have a mixture of battery powered and self contained emergency lighting units. I'm confused as to the maintenance requirements on these items of equipment and the testing frequencies and testing methods for either type of units. Could anyone maybe help me with this issue?
Thanks,
