The applicability of using EX mobiles in process area in gas processing plants . What are the pros and Cons,the best practices around the world, the regulations in UK, and other European countries please share.

EX phones are used on gas plants in UK. Potential issues include: * Price * Other people see a phone being used and assume that any phone can be used on site * Some/all EX phones have to be used in the case provided, which some people may not fully appreciate. But I am not aware of any reason why they should not be used or any particular precautions required, beyond normal practices for managing potential ignition sources.
