I just wrote a pm and clicked on post then got a message that my pm box is full and to delete some.
I then deleted a good few but lost the pm I just wrote. Is there any way a written pm can be saved automatically by the system. Most frustrating.

This is a function of the forums that has been reported to the webteam by the mods. The situation described by Chris is exactly what happens.
The webteam have it on their glitch list. The limit is due to current storage on the system.
Best advice is to regularly archive your mail.

Mod 5 I agree to archive - or delete as most of my mail is a "one off".
As for Alan metioning 30 then full it will not matter how many mails the box holds once it is full it is full.
It's what happens to the message we have written, and taken time to compose that wastes time and builds frustration.

Chris, aye to the frustration but we have to await the IT gurus who beaver away in the outer reaches of the forum specification :)

Try this (I cannot be sure that this is quite correct!)
When you get the message that your INBOX is full, use the back button, select and copy the text of your message into a Word document. Then at least you have saved yourself some time. I think, from recollection, that this works.
I would agree this is a very irritating glitch, since it is most imappropriate for the system to tell you your INBOX is full at the moment when you are trying to send a message OUT.
