Does anyone have comment regarding acceptability of racking with 2 beam sets in bays as opposed to 3? Is it OK and in line with SEMA standards? Thanks G

I would have said it depends of the height of the racking and what you are putting on it in terms of weight.

Hi Systemrisk. In a normal racking structure the change in configuration from three beams to two beams should not make a huge difference, as long as the height from the floor to the first beam level does not change. To be more specific I would need to know the height of the rack, how many bays are in the run, the old beam pitches, the new beam pitches and how the racking is fixed to the floor?
