Having trawled through many sign catalogues and well known search engines I remain at a loss as to which sign I should put onto an external storage building/container which houses petroleum based paint, thinners and gunwash. Probably about 1000L in there. Very much appreciated if someone could provide a suitable suggestion.

Hi Blue, there is some useful Guidance in HSE Publication L64 - it should be available as a free download from their publications site.

Google image search of "petroleum spirit highly flammable" will give you the sign and suppliers. The second bit of the sign being "no smoking no naked lights".
