How big an organisation are we talking about here? For most firms, a simple assessment form (plenty of examples out there that you can copy / tailor) and a spreadsheet are all that is needed.

There are several very good suppliers available who will give you advise without hounding you. If any do just tell them you have now obtained a supplier and do not require any more help. They will just say OK and go away. I used a very good supplier for DSE assesment training and the actual assessment process from a company called Workrite, they may be of use to you.

Thanks but it's computer based ones I'm looking at. We have 1200 staff and already do a paper assessment

Mike the one I suggested is a computer based system (remotely managed) that the individual has a training section to comlete and a test to pass before they undertake the actual DSE Assessment, you have a supervisory role to keep track of the process and to follow up any problems identified, quite easy to manage and control, try speaking to them or send me an email at bob.shillabeer@talktalk.net and I will let you have a bit more info.

Cardinus and praxis42 are both very good systems for completing and analyzing DSE assessments. They both operate on a user license fee of around £1.20 per user.
