Well, as i suspected due to the present 'climate' my 6 month contract is coming to an end (not to be extended, much to the disgust of my compliance manager) and as of Jan 19th next year I will be out of work for only the 2nd time in nearly 19 years. I am a TECH IOSH member and I am also studying the Occ Health and Safety Degree at Hull Uni. I am on the path to attain CMIOSH in the future and am looking for a role in health and safety. I have vast experience of modern manufacturing and have process safety knowledge. I am looking for employment in the Yorkshire area and am currently travelling to Barnsley as a health and safety advisor from my home in Beverley East Yorks. I am going through the rigures of joining recruiters etc and getting my name out there but realise this is going be tough. If anyone has any H&S job hunting tips or would like to meet with regards to a prospective position that would be great. Heres to hunting!!!

Are you "Linkedin"? - whilst the temporary market seems very quiet at present (seasonal and general economy I think) there seem to be a few perm roles being advertised. My current contract role came through contacts in this network. Good luck
