I have my NEBOSH qualification and have 2 years experience within Health and Safety but i am unable to find any work at this present moment in time. I am new to this site and i was wondering if anybody could help me out and give me any sites or even offers of temporary work. Any information would be much appreciated, thank you.

Try phoning some of the recruitment agencies that advertise in SHP - most are also on the lookout for temp staff who can start immediately.

Catrina,
Like you I am also based in Hull (well Beverley actually) and my fixed term contract comes to an end on 19th of Jan Next year. There isn't a lot around our area but if, as you say, you are willing to travel then there are jobs available. Unfortunately there are also a lot of applicants and getting an interview is difficult. I left Kimberley Clark last year and took VR after 17 years (this included manufacturing, logistics and health and safety experience). I did this to follow a career in health and safety of which I am now employed (for now). Although you only have 2 years H&S experience there maybe other experiences you can turn to your advantage.
The key is to stay possitive as I did and speak to the agencies on the phone, try not to have sole communication via email as they will not get back to you.
Go to the IOSH meetings at the Counrty Park too and talk to others in the same game.
Best of luck...Steve
