In the USA, lifting slings have red indicator fibres woven into then. These indicate when the sling is damaged enougth to warrant them being scrapped off. Does anyone know if the US standard is ok for the UK, and if it is, does any UK manufacturer supply them.

British law always prevails in the UK, if the American standard is higher than that applicable in the UK then it is OK to use them, although I would find it hard to buy this kit within the UK as the standard met is the UK one. You could always import to the American standard but will only meet the legal UK requirement if the American standard is higher than the UK.
