Hi I have been tasked with evaluating and purchasing a web-based DSE training and Assessment package to replace the ageing model we currently use, for use by approximately 400 users in the organisation. It needs to be backed by management software which will enable automatic notification of assessment dates, automatic management of remedial measures (as far is possible), and will, obviously, provide a record of individuals' compliance with organisational expectations. I obviously want the training to be comprehensive but do not want the assessment to be any more rigorous than it needs to be (due to the nature of the organisation and it's users!) If it's acceptable within this forum, I'd be most grateful for any pointers towards any quality, keenly priced system. I have spent a significant time on the internet looking, but am not particularly impressed with what I have uncovered so far... Many thanks and Happy Christmas all.

We have just started using the British Safety Council. Great software for the job and much better priced than other packages. They can arrange for you to demo it in your office

I have used the Posturite package for a few years and have just upgraded to WorkRite which IMO has a far better management system behind it and can produce decent reports to help trend analysis. Obviously this is just my opinion and I have no links with the company who market.

In my experience a lot of the available packages are very similar. One thing that might be worth considering is whether you wish to deliver other training/awareness through 'e-learning', if so look at what else the chosen supplier can privide so that you can use the same learning management system thereby having a single database of records
