Fellow colleagues, with expertise, I am looking for some guidance in respect of the above material.
If you have any information I would appreciate it. Please dont violate copyright, I just need key point guidance without reading the whole chapter and verse as I have enough recommended reading for xmas.
Sorry moderator...............I wasnt after the BS, just quoting the compliance requirement. I may have to meet.
Regards

That's quite a complex technical standard Wizard. Unless you have a more specific question (which some of us may be in a position to answer), there will be little recourse but to buy the standard, or else try your local college or University - some of these maintain a full set for public reference.

Ron, I appreciate your time and answer, I was perhaps looking for " x " number of golden rules to follow but I may have to 'bite the bullet' and purchase the document which I am sure is very complex and will take up much of my bed time reading this xmas :):) ........well maybe in the new year hahaha thanks again for your response.....solid and reliable as always.........Merry Xmas to you and the family and all forum users.

The Standard is of course concerned with dimensions and quality issues (goes into "knot patterns" ) regarding the timbers as supplied to the market.
Golden rules in use are of course an entirely different matter. Most common issues are split boards and saw cuts. Some erectors try this on with new clients. Start of strongly, rejecting outright any poor boards before accepting the scaffold. Try the NASC for some reasonably priced practical guidance publications.
Seasons salutations to you.
