Hi all
I have an interview in January as an associate trainer for a company. As part of the process they want me to do a 20 minute training session on the above topic.
Has anyone got any great ideas pleaseeeeeeeee.
They want it to be an interactive session with a way of assessing the learners as well.
As always, your help/advice is much appreciated

Not sure if this is what you have in mind, but I think the HSE did a number of workshops on the topic of slips and floor coverings - as part of this they demonstrated how the friction associated with certain floor coverings changed with the addition of water.
I have seen others do this too - taking a number of floor tiles of different materials (scraps from local floor coverings shop) and putting a block of smooth wood on each tile, set at a fixed angle - then when dampened with water some of the tiles could no longer support the wooden block without it slipping. Making the point that some floor coverings loose more friction than others when wet.
I guess you could build a demonstration around this type of thing, using other liquids that might contaminate the floor of the company for which you have the interview (say foodstuffs (cooking oil) if they make food!) - This could demonstrate the importance of floor material choice in the prevention of slips!
Hope this a starter for 10, and someone else can build on this one for you
best of luck
Stuart
PS let us know what you decide to go with!

Try shattered lives on the HSE website - some really useful information on there.
