Just watched a report on BBC on the difficulties in getting heating oil. It showed a driver discussing the problems that he has had getting his deliveries out due to the snow and ice. This was done by having a camera in his cab at a low angle shot and while he was driving. A fuel oil tanker on icy roads with a distracted driver!!!

Not forgetting the more frequent reports from Council gritting Depots, with crew and reporters a few feet from the reversing loader. I recall one recent report where the presenter and crew had to shuffle forward a bit sharpish! It would seem that Risk Assessment tend to go out the window when the TV crew arrives!

Watching Boyd Coddington Hot Rods last night the old boy was removing and reinstating lead on the vehicle body by blow torch - inhaling the lot! God bless him!

I just wondering how many times the cameras and getting that report have actually caused accidents? Oh sorry, that’s what they call bloopers or outtakes isn’t it...

And why is it OK for the top gear muppets to use walkie talkies (apart from the law allowing it). Surely they could use those blue tooth sardines much loved by taxi drivers (oops - was that a bit of a rant?)
