Is there a difference between tool boxtalks and tailgate talks? I understand toolbox talks are called toolbox talks coz they are held close to the operatives tool box just before the work begins. What is tailgate talk and why is it called a tail gate talk??

Any help!
Regards,
P

In the place I work we call it tool box talk where between 10-15 staff are gathered to talk about the hazard of the job and available control, incidents, instruction and any other info to help them conducting the task safely.
Any issues are reported to the line management to support.
