Accrediting a health and safety training course

I am seeking options to be able to accredit a health and safety training course. CIEH do not accredit training and the IOSH process is not suitable for this course.
I wondered if anyone knows of an organisation that can review and accredit courses? The course is a two day health and safety management course designed specifically for housing associations, which we have designed and is currently being delivered for one organisation.
Many thanks
Ian

I don't know of any, but others might, although I wonder if it is necessary. I have done both accredited IOSH and CITB training and have also produced my own training. With the latter I have a certificate produced and on the back of the certificate I print a summary/précis of the syllabus, contact hours, validation method etc.

I wil probably get shot by the moderators for this, but the British Safety Council does have a course accreditation facility. I looked at this for our own courses but decided that the cost outweighed the benfit.

Hi Ian, the answer is simple. As an employer you can get your courses accredited onto the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF), check-out their website!
NB. You may also want to be recognised as an awarding organisation yourself.
Good luck!
