Hi All I have been tasked to carry out a FRA at the company where I work, the premises comprises of a joinery, a mezz storage area, a warehouse and a two storey office building with yard attached. The problem I have is I've just dug out the existing FRA which comprises of 1 A4 sheet of paper. Does anybody know a link for blank FRA's that I can download for this task, I hope you can see the urgency involved. Many Thanks Coges

Hi Coges, Please find a link below to the Fire safety law and guidance documents for business. Here you will find a blank template as well as advice on the RRFSO 2005. http://www.communities.g...iresafety/firesafetylaw/ Please just be mindful that these kind of assessment should be undertaken by someone with adequate training and experience in this field, to comply with the requirements of the regulation and from your description of the work place there could be some high risk areas. Kindest regards Lee :-)

Here we go again................................. Firstly I suggest you get yourself a copy of the order (ACOP) and thoroughly read it from front to back. Then if there are parts you don't quite understand - read it again. Second after understanding what is required make up your own template in accordance with the ACOP, it will be much better for you if you do it that way. You have what I would suggest is quite a complex risk with joinery, mezz storage area, warehouse and two storey building - this is not for someone who had not received the necessary training and some experience. There are training providers who teach people to risk assess small low risk premises, which this isn't, and there are further training courses for more complex premises which this is. Your mention of the single A4 fra - well I'm gob smacked to say the least, however if that means there were not many "main findings" during the previous fra (which I doubt very much?) it may have been suitable and sufficient at the time of writing? Are you aware of the Fire Safety (Employees' Capabilities) Regulations, if not have a google and inform your employer that the Regs should be applied and for him/her to appoint a competent person to carry out the fra. I hope this helps, take care and write again if you need further information/advice. I'm sure there will be a few more comments from others to follow.

http://www.info4fire.com..._Title=&Omni_Source= This article does not answer this question but there is brief mention of the fire sector assessing schemes for competency of fire risk assessors. (register of fire risk assessors). I wonder if they do introduce such a scheme would it then become law for a fire risk assessor to have the accreditation?
