Hi Guys,

I have a chum who is going for an interview in two weeks time for a safety advisor's position within our company. I have helped him with his prep as best i can, however does anyone out there have some Q & A's he could use in general terms?

Thanks in advance

The ones I always get asked which catch me out are things like:

Give us an example of time where you:

- have had to give safety advice which has conflicted with a production requirement

- Worked as a team

- accomplished or overcome a big obstacle

- failed

- Made a difference, suceeded

Not that I have never done any of the above, but on the spot questions like that it is sometimes hard to think of specific examples even though we all probably do them all the time

Company specific questions would be like:

- What do you think is our biggest safety issue on site
- How would you suggest we over come this
- Why do you want to be invoved in safety
- What do you think you can bring to this position

Depending on the role or the site you may be asked questions on the associated legislation, DSEAR, Asbestos, Noise / vibration, COSHH etc...

All the best to him
