Hi,
We are a food manufacturering business andi have prepared our annual figures based on common formulaes used for Accident Frequency Rate; Incident Rate; Severity Rate; Mean Duration Rate; Duration Rate.
We have 158 (average employees). As a site we have not completed these type of statistics previously so I have no internal rates to compare to and my Plant Manager has asked me to benchmark these figures to identify our performance. The only other place i can see is HSE Stats - but i can't make head nor tail of them or how to make my stats comparable to theirs.
I suppose my question is can I make a comparison and how can i do this from my stats to relate to HSE stats.
A confused and feeling stupid safetyman!
