By posting a question like this here proves to me that U appear to be the right type of person as U already know your competence level

U may technicially be a 'resposnible person' for your company but do not worry the liabilities etc will not fall at your feet, irrespective of what people may say, until U are fully competent so continue your studies and build up your competence as U have already started to do

Best of luck and continue to post questions and view this site

The HSE website is always worth a look. Spend a little time each day on http://www.hse.gov.uk and see if any alarm bells ring. It'll also be good preparation for the course.

As Bob U'l says, it is important to be aware of your own competence and this applies at all levels.

One thing I always remember and still use today is - If you don't know the answer to a question you have been asked, always say that you will look into it and get back to them later, never guess as this come back and haunt you
