Risk Assessment - welding and the fumes - any consultants out there

As this is completely out of my remit and in fact anyone we employ, if any consultants out there in the north west (we're based in Kirkby) whom are qualified to complete risk assessments in the area of weld fume / welding can they drop me a PM. We're after someone to complete this for us for our factory site within the next week or two.
Obviously we'd need to ensure you are qualified to do the said assessment and also what costs per day are - this may or may not lead to risk assessments on other work processes like grinding and flt's etc...

I advise that a H&S specialist should be facilitating and taking part in the RA not 'doing' it as a 1 off separate [away from the staff] operation

The complexity of this task also depends a great deal on the process, and what you are welding.
Welding mild steel is fairly straightforward, and you can complete a risk assessment yourself, using HSE booklets to guide you. Welding lead is a different matter.
Your welders should also have some relevant knowledge you can tap into! Welder training does include safety.

Bob, replied to your message.
It is to do with assessing the whole welding operation to include the fumes associated with it and the control measures to be fully in place with regards to extraction of said fumes and the like.
