I've been asked an impossible question! I need to provide industry norms for Accident/Incident Frequency Rates so that we can see 'where we are' against other similar businesses. One of the main difficulties is that our business is quite diverse - we have a total workforce of just fewer than 100 with the majority being office workers/administrators and or external sales types. In addition we have a warehouse with 5 or so employees engaged in 'warehouse stuff.' Another 5 or so work in a small assembly department, building and testing equipment from kitted component parts. Another 15 or so work as field service engineers. So, with all that in mind, who should we be looking to benchmark ourselves against? We are neither a 'classic' warehousing or a 'classic' office environment, we also dabble a bit in engineering and have some production stuff going on too. Who to compare to ..............
