Can any one tell me what qualifications are required by law to be a CDM-Co-ordinator? please,
I have Nebosh General Cert and Nebosh Construction Cert

Most consultancies will want the construction cert standard at least, but more important is experience and understanding of the 'design process', ability to co ordinate a project team and relate that in health and Safety terms both for the Constructors and end users.
Have a look at MAPS (google) (Association for Project Safety which is the main boby for CDM-Cs) who have a membership route which covers design and construction angles via experience and an on line exam for registered membership.
To be honest I have relied upon my Tech IOSH status but I suppose I should be looking at RMAPS now to over come any perceptions introduced through the new register of H&S consultants.

Brian,
There are no qualifications required by law to act as a CDM Co-coordinator. If you take a look at appendix 4 & 5 of the CDM regulations this will provide further insight what the core criteria for competence has been laid out as. Use the link below to review the ACoP for the regs.
