I was told that as per indian standards Injury is one and man days lost is 6000 minus the days lost due to acccident .is it correct? An employee was injured on 2nd February 2008 and hospitalised. He resumed his duty on 4th April 2008 after getting fitness from doctor. Subsequently, for the same injury, he was hospitalised again on 28th November 2008. However, he died on 5th January 2009 due to some complications. As a safety manager, you are preparing the safety performance report for the year 2008. For the purpose of this report, how would you compute the number of man days lost? Also, state whether in this case you would count it as one injury or two? Regards, Prads
