Hi, At the minute I am working In Kazakhstan in the oil and gas industry, I am now involved in consultations with an employer in Aberdeen and they are asking me about day rates, I have no idea what the going day rate is for HSE professionals in the UK and I dont want to sell my self short and undercut anybody also working up there ! Question is how much should I be looking at per day ? Any ideas anyone ? Many Thanks

I was very recently offered £85/hr in Aberdeen and £55/hr in Newcastle - both oil industry related H&S jobs. I don't consider myself to be that experienced in this particular sector, so you might get more if you have considerable experience. Staff jobs usually start at the £65-70k region.
