RIDDOR seems quite clear- one must report a case of a notifiable disease "WHEN A DOCTOR NOTIFIES YOU IN WRITING"- my questions are- 1) Define a doctor- ie does this include a GP (especially when an Occupational Physician gives an opposite view)? 2) Does the "advise" of an Occupational Health Nurse fall into the reportable category? The reason I ask is that moving to an Occupational Health Nurse is threatening to swamp us with cases to report. My thanks to all in advance
