If my company ask me to test the drinking water quality, what parameters should I test? The WHO list is too long and costs too much.

We test our water for the following;
Aerobic plate count @ 22 degrees C and should be <100 cfu/ml
Aerobic plate count @ 37 degrees C and should be <10cfu/ml
Presumptive Coliforms <1 cfu/ml
e coli <1 cfu/ml

My advice is that for most quality parameters you do not have to (assuming the drinking water is from a mains supply). Simply write to or telephone your water supply company and request a drinking water quality information pack. They are required by law to provide these packs to all customers on request.
These will provide you with the measured microbiological and chemical parameters for the supply zone for your premises.
If your employer requires more information, then I would get the microbiological tests detailed in the first reply. Anything else would probably be a waste of money.
If on the other hand the water supply is a private borehole, contact your local council's Environmental Health department for advice.
