Posted By Matthew Purdie If anyone is concerned or interested about the disposal of plasterboard / gypsum wastes then please feel free to fire in your questions to me. I run a firm recycling the stuff and know the reality of the situation over the myth/ hype/ confusion from the EA. Regards Matthew

Posted By Robert K Lewis An interesting advert for your company. A much needed service for many companies. I could not understand the charges on your website and whether they all relate to current landfill charges or whether some are your charge out rates? I would also query your assertion of there being only 1 monocell site in England that can acccept Gypsum. That said there does need to be an increase in the recycling of such waste. The real problem I have seen is the variability of manufacturers to accept recycle when there is such an abundance of fresh material available from the Desulph. plants of coal fired power stations. Posted By Matthew Purdie Dear Bob I think you might be correct in that there is now I believe two landfills with dedicated monocells for high sulphate bearing wastes; if you know of any others I'd be interested to find out? Regards Matthew

Posted By barny rubble Mr Purdie There's plenty of room for all sorts of hazardous waste in the Hong Kong landfills, send it over! In HK need to continue to emulate the progress made in the UK, unfortunately landfill charging has only recently been introduced, so we still have a long way to go, perhaps your expertise could be put to good use over here some day.
