Can anyone help with the level the Diploma Part 2 qualification was given? I know it was superseded by Diploma L6 in around 2005/6 but not sure is the 2004/5 version was ENTO Level 4 or not? What I am being by NEBOSH is that they can only provide an ‘approximate comparison’ which seems vague considering they are an awarding body.

As I understand it (from having the Part 2 Diploma myself), the old 2 part diploma was at Level 4.  The levels were expanded and what was Level 4 is now Level 6.

NEBOSH are probably using the words 'approximate comparison' as technically the two part diploma was never formally assessed against the new Level 6 criteria.

Unfortunately, it wasnt.  If you search for a previous Post by Theresa Budworth, its clear that the old Part 2 only 'mapped' the ENTO L4.   I have no proof, but can clearly remember discussions at the time I signed up for it  confirming that it was L4, which Ive now found out were untrue.

The 'New' Diploma was given ENTO L4.  If Part 2 had it, then it could have been then converted to the new Level 6.

This is the reason why I posted as I cannot find any other supporting evidence and have had nothing from NEBOSH.

The old Part 2 didnt have any regulatory recognition.  Disappointing that such a tough qual wasnt given better credit.
