I was wanting to enquire about DSEAR zoning for an area where paint spraying is taking place and also sanding. I am confused if this is zone 0 - 2 or 0 - 22? Many thanks

The area where vapours and mists are is likely to be Zone 0, 1 or 2...any area where there are dusts the area is likely to be classified as Zone 20, 21, 22..

Zone 0/20 - Continuous Grade of release - Present continuously

Zone 1/21 - Primary Grade - Present periodically or occasionally in normal operation

Zone 2/22 - Secondary Grade  - Not expected to occur but when it does it is likely only for short periods/ infequently.

When sanding it is Zone 21, When painting it is Zone 1...the problem you have is that if you have a combination of the two tasks you have a hybrid mixture of flammable dust and flammable vapour at the same time...hence I guess the confusion...let me know if you need any more information.
