https://www.constructionenquirer.com/2019/12/20/site-bosses-urged-not-to-turn-away-workers-with-expired-skills-cards/

NOCN having acquired CPCS from the CITB transitioned the test booking system at the start of December - the many operators requiring renewal have since encountered problems in booking tests.

Mark Buckton has appealed to sites to recognise "slightly out of date" Blue & Red cards whilst they resolve their system issues.

If competence is demonstrated by an in-date card which after all is the unique selling point of these card schemes should we take this further and admit on site those operators with a more "out of date" card or stay with the schemes principal of no valid card = no work?

Roundtuit, thanks for highlighting this development. I suppose the first Q is whether NOCN has defined what "slightly out of date" is and whether they have explained how quickly the problem will be righted.
