When holding H&S Committee Meeting is it important to hold this meeting at alternant sites if you have 2 sites?

Often members of the  H&S Committee do not attend the other site as part of there working.

thank you

Amanda

There is no specific requirement to hold it at alternating sites but as long as both sites have the space and facilities it's a good idea. Plus it also fosters the idea that neither site is more important than the other and that H&S is inclusive to both sets of staff.

I've just completed an audit across a split site, and they as a matter of policy alternate between the 2 sites. But then they were only 10 miles apart.

We have two sites but they are hundreds of miles away from each other, so we do it by conference call.  If they were a lot closer I am sure there would be more travel between them including for this type of purpose.

So it all depends.
