Does anyone have access to or a link to general information posters for the work place I could use? 

The best on line one seen to date (file:///C:/Users/better/Desktop/Coronavirus_advice_for_education_settings_poster.pdf) is for education, but as its a locked PDF I'm unable to adpat it.

This is all starting to look a little bit like panic to me - a sexy new virus with an interesting SCIFI name comes along and everyone wants posters to warn people and advice to give them - no one does that about bog standard 'flu and this virus for most people will be no more than a bad cold but might kill you if you are old, already sick or have a poor immune system just like a range of other viral illnesses.   We need to raise people's general awareness about all viral illness, 'flu, norovirus, coronavirus - what's the difference?  Don't jump on the panic bandwagon plan properly for all seasonal virus outbreaks and protect people all the time!!

I agree that the response in the press and elsewhere has been sensationalised, and I'm not adding to it.

I responded to the OP by adding the link mentioned earlier today to promote general good practice when suffering from a cold/flu viral infection.

The catch it, bin it, kill it advice is good at any time of year.

Is basic microbiology taught in schools yet?

There are four factors which make this slightly more of an issue than 'bog standard' flu (which after all kills about 800,000 people a year):

• it is a novel infection so there may be no current immunity to it
• therefore the rate of transmission is apparently rather higher than flu
• it does seem to be transmitted before the onset of symptoms, making it hard to contain and
• there is as yet no available vaccine

So while it may be no more deadly than flu, it has a potential to infect far more people. No need to panic, but plenty of cause for concern,
