Hello fellow members,
I work in a fairly low risk (mainly office and warehouse) company and currently deal with H&S for the UK and Holland. I have been asked as part of my personal development (and for business requirements) to look at different legislation pertaining to EU countries, I.E. Spain, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Sweden etc... with a view to understanding the differences and managing H&S in those countries in the future.
Could i politely ask if anyone has experience in this, and could offer me guidance on where to look?
Thank you, phill.

Without a subscription to a service provider you will find it a hard slog. From personal experince I have discovered in Germany there are three levels EU / Federal / State, unless you can read French when you find the relevant National Decree you will have no idea what is required and unfortunately a similar approach in other EU member states where not surprisingly the law is written in the national language and normally without translation.
Only institutions like ECHA (REACH/CLP) start from English text then add translations. The EU directives and regulations are your primary triggers as these will either be transposed in to national legislation or be direct acting. The UK legislation web site is quite helpful in that it lists (in the corrrect search) the EU rules that become UK law from which you could try and track the same in other countries

Thank you 'Roundtuit' for your help and advice, i have found a German site which has an English traslation and appears to provide similar legislative advice to our HASAW act, although in much briefer detail. (but then most documentation is simpler than that) :-)
I'll try to source a French equivalent next. I will also look into ECHA (REACH/CLP) for further light reading...
Once again, thank you for your help. Regards, Phill.
