Anybody else checking all staff temperatures like Cadbury's? Any HR issues doing this?

I suppose it depends on what the person is doing and the nature of the employment contract. Some like Cadbury’s as a food sector company will almost certainly include a clause saying they reserve the right to suspend employees who might be “disease carriers” typically excreting enteric bacteria and viruses. There is no risk of someone with Covid-19 passing it onto people via chocolate bars and the like, so you could argue that they should not be using this a screening tool but Cadburys might say that they want to ensure that the factory keeps running. The question is what next? Are staff who are suspend being fully paid or are they going onto SSP?
