2m distance controls - Food Manufacturing Environment

Good evening
Does anyone have any experiences they can share regarding food manufacturer and the current situation with Covid? Due to the production process there are areas where the 2m rule can not be maintained during production process. Being a food manufacturer the hygiene standards are very high in the areas with very regular sanitation of the areas and equipment, hand washing very regularly, clean coveralls etc.
What have other food manufacturers put in place? Areas outside the production area are being well managed, staff restrictions implemented, home working where possible etc.
Thanks

Going pre-Covid - what does your risk assessement say? Lets be realistic food is considered an essential service as is the NHS - last time I looked NHS staff were not all standing 2m from each other and the patient. Sensible hygiene controls, no coughing and spluttering workers. Same in abbatoirs the staff work at stations which if 2m were enforced start impacting the economic viability of the operation. Then the take aways / drive throughs / hospital / school / armed forces kitchens - see them with 2m separation?

Food industry (abattoir) H+S guy here
Our current hierarchy of control is always evolving but currently
2m social distancing Perspex screens or strip curtains if 2m distance is not reasonably practicable Face visors if Perspex screens or strip curtains not reasonably practicable. face masks only for the infected employee if we identify an infected employee on site Edited by user 28 March 2020 16:35:36(UTC)
| Reason: Clarify sector
