Good afternoon,
As an NHS worker we use the DATIX system to colate information into incidents. But i cannot find any training material for this. I have looked everywhere. The only stuff i can find is relating to adding information onto it. But i want to interorgate the information. I have seen others do this but i require the knowledge so i can do it myself. I have asked out L&D department and they have nothing. Thanks

Not sure where you fit in your DATIX system but you need to be given permission by the person who has overall control of the system within your organisation. Then either ask one of the people who already interrogate it or ask for help from another Trust as virtually all use the system.

L & D ? Is that where the I.T. tech gurus live? Maybe ask different Hospital Managers in an open question?

"Learning and Development" - usually a part of Human Resources

I haver asked L&D. They say there isn't one. People just kearn as they go along. So i sat with a guy for about 30 mins and as it wasn't really teaching it was jus ta showing of how to do stuff.
So the question is where is the formal training?

Sorry! I wasn't trying to suggest you should ask L&D - I was just saying what it stood for, as another poster queried it. Sitting with someone who knows how to do a thing and them showing you how to do it *is* training in my book - often the best form of training. But of course you might need reference material to back it up.
