IOSH Branch Meetings?

I haven't read anything from IOSH yet, hence this post.

I try to attend all my local branch meetings in Bristol.  With the government request for lockdown, I would expect all future meetings to be cancelled until it is safe to congregate again.  I seriously doubt even June.

Hi Kim, I am a member of the same branch as you and I did get a email from IOSH Bristol & West branch about branch events.  It said that "obviously" the next meeting was not going ahead, that meetings in May and June were unlikely to, and that subsequent talks would be rearranged to take place either later in the year or on Youtube.

Thanks, I don't remember getting an email from the branch, it's not like i'm a new member or anything.

Hi Kim, The email Kate refers to went out on Monday. Currently all meetings up to end of April are off, but that is likely to be extended in the current climate... Bristol & West committee will be having a zoom meeting on 12th April and clarifying this years remaining program is the key item obviously.

South Cumbria and North Lancashire are running their branch meetings via Webinar and committee meetings via Zoom.

Please feel free to look on our branch page for details. This will probably happen until July at the earliest.

I know Manchester are doing the same thingas will other branches.

A chance for other branches to see what eachother do and share best practice. I will be signing up for branches webinars that I couldnt possibly get to in real life. Also dont forget its good for your CPD!!
