I am completing a prequal just now and the contractor has requested additional risk assessments, almost 20 in fact!!

Would any of you good people be willing to share their risk assessments with me.

TIA.

Behave yourself!!!!!!!!!

You have to assess the risks in the workplace. Seems your not qualified, get someone who is to do them.

You dont share risk assessments, its not a paper excercise so get a grip.

I agree. A risk assessment has to be based on what happens during the individual task, taking account of the immediate environment and its potential effect on the risk of an injury or damage to health. There is no 'one size fits all' risk assessment. This is particularly the case if the task involves the use of chemicals as it is how they are used and what happens to them during the use that needs be the base for the risk assessment. Risk assessment is not something for the untrained.

TBH this sounds like your business is trying to enter a market for which it is not adequately prepared to operate (otherwise you would already have these "20" on file).

Your question is also sadly lacking in that whilst prequal may refer to construction it can also apply to other industries where tendering processes exist the forum is left guessing how to respond.

If you want to PM me and give me some details my company may be able to offer a helping hand, if your business wants to take health and safety seriously.

As I was going to say:

YOUR people doing YOUR processes using YOUR equipment therefore you need YOUR own risk assessments not somebody else’s.

I can’t image any serious Health and Safety professional would supply you with any sort of generic risk assessment just to enable you to get through a bidding process. I would also hope that the people receiving this paperwork would have the brains to realise that the documentation is generic and does not (and if fact cannot) refer specifically to what you are intending to do.
