Hi, yes I have read the guidance page on the gov.uk website.  However, I would just like some confirmation from you guys.  We have 7.5t lorry that we use to transport steel to the sub-contractor painter or galvaniser and then pick up and return to our yard to be assembled or shipped etc.  Am I right in thinking that if one of our guys (not a driver as his main job) drops it to them or goes back to collect then they would need a cpc?  It isn't limited 28mph, the guy isn't self employed.  thanks....

I am reading MOT etc. have been temporarily suspended however I do not see any exception from CPC if the driver is moving either passengers or goods. Your description indicates someone transporting goods in a 7.5MT which would require CPC to be on the road.

If your usual driver is incapacitated then you need to talk to an agency for a temporary employee with the right documents.
