Hi All,
Just wondered if anyone is aware of any opportunities similar to NEBOSH examiners which is part time and allows work from home? I know IOSH exams tend to be marked by the trainer. I have contacted SMAS several times to ask about checking Safe Contractor applications but they just ignore me (how rude!). Not really sure where else I could try. Could certainly do with the income boost as the Education industry is not well paid (although it is rather intersting hence looking for income top up and not a change of full time role)
Thanks in advance for any help!

SMAS and Safecontractor are two entirely different organisations so I am not surprised SMAS ignored you, especially if you offered to do their competitors work??

Very good! No, I just worded it badly but I actually approached both organisations and got ignored by both. I have plenty of experience assisting companies get SMAS accredited and helped a small number with Safe Contractor applications and felt it was something well within my competence to assess from the other side but was looking for any practical suggestions of how to get into it. Or similar opportunities.

Shinobi Perhaps you didn't word your offers in a way that would nudge some interest. They would be looking for some insurance cover for starters.

I am looking for opportunities to make the leap from a volunteer to paid work. I work full time and volunteer H&S during summer hours and days off from my other role. I've done this over 3 years now so feel I need to make a leap if I'm to career change.
I'm particularly interested in what is involved in setting up companies for CHAS or similar as I'm heating engineer and think this is somewhere I'd excel and could maybe stay dual employed/volunteering. I'm about to finish level NVQ too, so any other suggestions of how I can progress would be great.
