The site I am currently working is a Top Tier COMAH site and has some CCTV coverage; however, the system is outdated and obsolete, so when a camera is goes down, that's it gone for good.

We have had designs for a new system submitted; however, as you'd expect these are more than they expected and wish not to pay trhat amount. We've slimmed down on some specifications without compromisijng on our objective, but wanted to ask, is there any documentation / guidance notes etc. I can use to help us justify the investment within the site for a nbew CCTV system to monitor and investigate incidents effectively to prevent any future severe incidents etc.?

Any help would be greatly appreciated from you my respected peers.

The Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI) give security advice to (as the name suggests) those operating national infrastuture and many COMAH sites would fall under this definition.

In any case, they publish useful advice re CCTVonline. Search "CPNI CCTV"
