Hi All I wonder if anyone has ever done or been asked to do a FRA via a video call? the idea would be to get the manager of the building to be directed round the site via video conferencing call with the assessor and one other person who was involved in a fit-out of the building. I am not aware of anyone ever doing this and if i was the assessor i would be reluctant to put my name to it but open to any opinions people might have
Cheers

It surely depends on the nature of the building and the works done to it.

Also depends on what stage of the construction project you are looking at. I would expect the fire strategy to be part of the design brief, whether for a new build or refurbishment.

I can only see this working if the site has a history of fire risk assessments with few recommendations and the same person does the review as did the previous assessment. For example it might work on my site if the same assessor was involved as the only recommendation we had was to do refresher training with our fire marshals. If it is more complex than that then I would say not suitable or sufficient.
