Forestry forwarder trailer safety - control levers on trailer

Any Forestry experts? A Wildlife Trust I support has taken on a small used forestry trailer “Farma 38D Timber Forwarding Trailer”. It’s in good condition, regularly serviced; including hydraulics and LOLER. The person who would be designated to use it is an experienced operator. However, the lifting arm of this trailer is operated from levers attached to the front of the trailer rather than from within the tractor cab as he is currently used to. I’m concerned the operator is at risk from the swinging load. Does anybody know if the arm is resricted in some way?

I can email an picture of the trailer if anybody want to view / comment?

Hasn't it got a manual?  Perhaps not with it, but available on the manufacturer's website?

Can you go back to the seller and have "training/ session"?  Looking at pics of similar styles, will,the operator effectively be protected by the crane assembly?  If you are slightly concerned about the crane, then the swinging  load is,likely to be even more of a hazard?   I'd have thought that if the concern is the rotation that some effetove physical restrictors could be fitted.

Thanks, yes I'm a worried about the swinging load rather than the crane. The operator it tracking down the operations manual today it might enlighten. It's not an ancient piece of kit and my initial thought is that there is some form of control beyond the physical protection the trailer itself gives and the hazad zone maring on the trailer itself, I'm just assuring myself of that, I hope.
