We have taken over a warehouse which has an office for 6 people. The Office is made of stud work and Sterling board which can not be confirmed if it is fire rated. The warehouse is classed low risk with regards to storage of materials and fire. The Office has smoke detection fitted, and travel distances to the fire exit are within the regulations. Should we look at treating the board/replacing with plasterboard/ or leave as is?

What "fire rating" are you seeking?

Back in 2014 the EU gave a classification system (without testing) for certain boards

as walls and ceilings

as flooring
